New era of care for moms and babies

Last week, Mount Sinai celebrated the grand opening of three state-of-the-art new units in our renowned Frances Bloomberg Centre for Women’s and Infants’ Health. The Newton Glassman Charitable Foundation Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Slaight Family Labour & Delivery Unit, and Am Chai Israel Antenatal Unit are now open, marking a new era in the care for moms and babies at Mount Sinai. Patients and their families were welcomed into the new units on February 24th -- and by 10:38 a.m., our team celebrated the arrival of Emily Isabelle, the first baby born in our Slaight Family Labour & Delivery Unit. In the new spaces, our tiniest patients and their families will enjoy greater privacy and comfort while receiving the best possible care. Learn more.
